Tier 4 Final Diesel Generators

Save Money with TPEM Flex Diesel Generators

Posted in: Business Continuity Diesel Generators Engine & Drivetrain
Beginning in 2004, the EPA began a scaled requirement for all non-emergency generators to be upgraded to Tier 4 Final by 2015.  The Tier 4 emissions standards require the reduction of particulate matter by over 90% and nitrogen oxide emissions by 45 percent.  This has resulted in a significant investment in engine development.
Americas Generators is taking advantage of this cost saving program and, passing the savings on to you.  The program allows manufacturers to continue building Tier 3 engines during this transition to Tier 4 final.  The program has assisted with decreasing the expense of designing and building Tier 4 engines. This program is called the Tier 4 Flex program or TPEM.  This program phases out when a manufacturer reaches a certain number of engines or sales within their company. As of this moment, companies like Caterpillar, Cummins, Kohler and Generac have exhausted all TPEM credits available to them, due to an extensive use of this program.Working in conjunction with the EPA we have determined that Americas Generators has Tier 4 Flex Credits until 2021. We currently offer a wide range of TPEM flex units from 10 to 3000 kW utilizing engines from brands like Yanmar, Cummins, John Deere, Volvo and MTU.They come in a wide range of configurations and are suitable for stationary, prime and rental applications when paired with a rental package. This package includes a complete system including voltage selector switch, full distribution system and trailer. To learn more about EPA regulations pertaining generators, tier and pricing information call 305-592-6800 or, email us at info@gopower.com.
