This Triton genset, built with a diesel engine from Cummins’ QSX15 series, is a dependable powerhouse. With the ability to start and assume load in less than 10 seconds, as well as reliable mechanical and electrical performance, this diesel genset is ideal for a number of applications. Cummins recommends this engine for both standby backup power and portable applications. With a compact design, the QSX15-G6 is ideal for rental gensets and onsite power for lighting, mining operations and events.

The Cummins QSX15-G6 is a 15-liter engine that provides 3 phase power at 60 Hz and 1,800 RPM. The output is 455 kWm or 610 HP. This turbocharged engine operates with 6 inline cylinders, each with 4 valves, for a total of 24, making it the first heavy-duty diesel engine with 24-valve dual overhead camshaft technology. The genset is radiator cooled and uses 97.6 liters of diesel fuel an hour with a full load (100% prime power).

The genset is reliable and offers businesses low life-cycle costs. This starts with the compact design of the QSX15-G6. There are 30% fewer parts than comparable engines, which means easier maintenance. For example, an integrated block design eliminates hoses and reduces the possibility of a leak. Cummins is committed to providing support to its industrial customers and offers a large service network.

To complete this genset, a Deep Sea Electronics’ controller (model #7420) and Stamford Newage alternator are added. For environmentally-sensitive locations, an optional factory-integrated exhaust after-treatment is also available. Americas Generators can customize this genset further with optional add-ons. Common configurations include an enclosure, fuel tank, trailer, permanent magnet generator, electronic governor, engine block heater and more.
