The Cummins brand is known for its reliable, efficient and versatile diesel-powered engines, and the 150 kVA Cummins Diesel Generator Set is no exception.
The four-cycle QSB5-G6 engine is a heavy-duty generator option that offers a fast response to load changes, ideal for industrial applications. This genset also offers a focus on fuel efficiency, and reduced noise and emissions. Like all Cummins diesel generator sets, the 150 kVA Cummins Diesel Generator can start and assume a load in less than 10 seconds.
The engine itself measures 1352 mm long by 855 mm wide and 1143 mm tall. The dry weight of the unit is 897 kg. When operating at 50Hz, standby power (providing power during an unplanned interruption) at 144 kWm consumes fuel at 36 liters, or 9.4 gallons, per hour.
Genset Controller
Deep Sea Electronics controller model #7420 (DSE7420) automatically starts and monitors engine activity within the 150 kVA Cummins Diesel Generator. Faulty speed, oil pressure, temperature, voltage, current and frequency, as well as low fuel levels and more are displayed on the controller’s LCD screen.
The same information can be viewed on a PC, via text message and within building maintenance systems thanks to RS-232 or RS-485 communication integration. Historical data collected on the Cummins Diesel Generator’s status is available via a USB memory stick.
Deep Sea Electronics offers a software-based language editor to allow facilities to translate the display into the preferred language of their workforce.
Genset Alternator
The 150 kVA Cummins Diesel Generator’s 50 Hz power rating comes from a Stamford Newage Generator End. The generator set’s standby power rating is 150 kVA or 120 kW with a prime power rating of 135 kVA or 110 kW.
Genset Enclosure
A sound attenuated enclosure can be added to the Cummins Diesel Generator. Triton’s enclosures are designed to withstand the same heavy-duty use as the generator itself. The enclosure is manufactured from high-quality steel with a three-step painting process to protect against erosion, scratching and corrosion.
