Our Story

Back in 1994, Americas Generators recognized a flaw in the Generator Industry, the lack of available supply in the marketplace.

The Commercial and Industrial generator industry is built on an exclusive territory format. Each generator dealer may only sell in their designated territory to local customers, and they cannot sell outside that territory.

With limited customers, the industry is a “build to order” concept.

This means that customers must wait months and over a year to receive their generator.

Our Mission

Americas Generators, co-founded by Eric Johnston, has a simple mission: Manufacture High Quality Generators and have them In Stock for nearly every market.

Today we Manufacture, Distribute and Stock the highest quality generators for customers worldwide. What began with a small warehouse in Miami with only 12 generators, we now have five manufacturing locations throughout the world and over 500 servicing dealers around the world.

To service the North and South America market, we maintain a 50,000 sq foot facility in Miami with over 300 commercial and industrial generators in stock, ranging from 10 to 2000 kw. We can custom build and design any generator for your requirements out of this facility. Americas Generators has generators for all applications in Miami.

Our Generators

Our generators are built with only the best components. Our engines are built by the best including Cummins, John Deere, Perkins, Volvo and Yanmar. We utilize Cummins/Stamford and Leroy Sommer Alternators. We assemble our generators with care and dedication. Every generator is field tested and certified before it ever leaves our facility. We are now in interesting and exciting times. In less than 30 years, we have grown from a small warehouse to a global brand renowned for quality and availability. All of this is through our people who have enabled the Americas Generators to develop into the company it is today.
